VISION: Provide an environmentally friendly, conservation focused option for people to live independently, free from the restraints of yard care, close to work, shopping and recreation, while maintaining the experience that an established neighborhood offers.

RESULT: Over 3 years and 50 schematic designs later, the Abbey is soon to be a reality. The designer | developer spent two years simply observing the seasons on this unique piece of property, and calculating the best use of nearly every square foot of this 26,500 s.f. oasis in the city.

Every tree on the property was mapped out and considered during the process of each design. Each home was designed with respect to the others around it. The result is the first development of its kind in Spokane, Washington: 6 urban cabins wrapping around a common green space, with private patio areas adjacent to each home. All while integrating themselves into an existing 100 year old neighborhood.

In another 100 years, the Abbey will be one of those rare gems in Spokane that residents will work hard to preserve and protect.
